boxes in the cupboard

In this pretty large sized cupboard a 10 cm deeper space was required amongst other for suspension files. The option to make the entire cupboard deeper was not too attractive. The solution choosen was for smaller boxes in between the uprights that could stick out of the cupboard.
I made 6 boxes staggered in their vertical position. The layout implemented for the boxes is for suspension files, double drawers and shelves. Apart from delivering additional specific space to the cupboard it attaches a very lively image to it.
In another situation I made boxes in a contrasting type of wood. See the photo on the right side in the examples page. In this case oak boxes in a wallnut cupboard. A matter of taste.
